2.2.1. Buddhism the worship of many Gods

2.2.2. Worshiped their dead ancestors which included sacrifices

2.2.3. They offered gifts to their deceased ancestors in order to keep them happy in the afterlife

2.2.4. Asked for advice from their ancestors through oracle bones, bits of animal bone or turtle shells

3. Geography and Agriculture

5. Social Structure and Family Life

5.1. Sumerians

5.1.1. The Sumerian woman had very little power.

5.1.2. Sumerian families lived in cylinder seals also depict houses built from reeds.

5.1.3. Men would hunt for animals or grow crops in the fields, while the woman gathered plants and took care of the children.

5.1.4. The children in a family had to respect their parents because disrespecting them was considered a grave sin.

7. Arts and Education

7.1. Sumerians

7.1.1. Schooling was associated with the priesthood and took place in temples.

7.1.2. People used cylinder seals to sighn documents or to show ownership.

7.1.3. The Sumerians learned to use geometry, which helped them to build structures and irrigation systems.

7.1.4. Sumerian sculpture included really big staues with large opened eyes, as well as small objects made out of ivory.

7.2.1. Early bronze working developed creating fashion weapons, parts of chariots, and ritual vessels.

7.2.2. Bronze played a very important role in the material culture at the time.

7.2.3. People learned how to catch fish with nets as well as learning how to domesticate animals.

7.2.4. Artists created highly decorated bronze vessels and objects which was used in religious rituals.
