Autonomous cars will make driving safer

21. Ethicical issue - if about to drive into 10 people will the car kill them or owner? Would have to kill the crowd - no-one will buy a car that will kill them! Therefore less safe!!

23. Difficulty in interactions with human drivers. They manage to communicate by hand signals, flashing light, inching forward etc. Hard for an autonomous car to read these singals.

24. Fully autonomous cars are unrealistically far away. Enormous number of ethical and insurance and liability issues. Semi-autonomous cars are more dangerous. Still need same driving license to drive them? Can take 17 seconds (Google's own stats) to realise that you need to take control over the car.

25. Safer to who? Driver? Other drivers? Pedestrians? Society? Environmental impact probably positive with reduced pollution but not necessarily. Not if autonomous cars take over from public transport. Might lead to less safety pollution wise.
