6.1.1. Located in the fertile crescent otherwise known as southwest Asia

6.1.2. Depended on rainfall and snowmelt from nearby rivers for water from the rivers

6.1.3. Farmed wheat and barley, farming was key for survival

6.1.4. Lived in a flat, swampy, enriched soil environment
