2. Lanterns on the Lake are signed to a British independent record label founded in 1997 by Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins. It is now run solely by Raymonde.

2.1. The label won the Independent Record Company Of The Year award at the Music Week Awards voted by the UK independent retailers, in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016.

2.1.1. The label has released many artists with the likes of Cashier No.9 Celebration , Chimes and Bells, Clarence Clarity, Concrete Knives, The Czars, The Dears, Decoder Ring and John Grant.

2.1.1.1. In 2014, signee John Grant was nominated for a BRIT Award. In 2015, Raymonde signed the Yorkshire-born singer Holly Macve, releasing the single "Corner of my Mind".[

3. The band formed in 2007

3.1. They self-released two EPs and a single before signing to the Bella Union record label in December 2010.

3.1.1. Cross media convergence was used when they produced a song called "I Love You Sleepyhead" which was used in the film Where Soldiers Come From.
