4RCR and Good and Just Teaching by Mind Map: 4RCR and Good and Just Teaching

1. Rigorous standards and high expectations

1.1. Rigor and the amount of difficultness will be necessary to make sure students are being challenged.

1.2. This framework allows students to have high expectations for themselves, by incorporating a detail from each category in the 4RCR they will have enough resources to expand from what they already know.

2. Opportunities for critical questioning

2.1. Since students should be interacting with each other and teachers they should develop time to question the content and be able to think for themselves.

2.2. Recursion helps students question their self and allows them to reflect to develop questions.

3. Educational Disparities

3.1. Cultural Relevance will be provided here to insure all students understand the material and can relate it to where they come from and relate it back to home.

3.2. All students should be included, nobody should be left out to fall behind. I believe this framework makes sure peers are working together as a group and not so much as a individual.

3.2.1. Differences between students will allow students to become closer. Diversity enhances the classroom.

4. Practice democracy and engage in social action in the classroom

4.1. Through 4RCR there are many types of social action. It can be through discussion or through types of technology.

4.2. Through positive interaction students will be able to communicate and get their points across in an effective manner.

5. Curriculum that is challenging and culturally responsive.

5.1. Cultural relevance allows teachers to add knowledge from a child's background to material so that there is a clear understanding of the content.

5.2. Richness allows depth that creates material to be challenging for all students.
