1. Editing is also used in this sequence to draw in the audience. The only colours used are black and white which gives the sequence some clarity and allows the audience to focus on the characters. The colour white has connotations with innocence which may be recognizable to the audience that the four characters portray innocence as they are teenagers. The transition between shots is also engaging. This is because the camera zooms and pans to keep the audience on their toes.

2. Another element that identifies the audience is the use of non diegetic music with the sound track. The song is about everyday woes which may have connotations with the narrative but could also be a message to the audience applying Bulmer and Katz's theory and watching the series as a form of escapism.

3. As a UK film, it produced £13 million in the first weekend in the United Kingdom and grossed £41 million because it was highly anticipated after the TV series.

4. The audience for this series is revealed in the credits because of many elements of mise en scene. The costume of each of the characters is very different to highlight the fact they have opposite personalities. Will is seen wearing a shirt and jumper and looks fairly smart. On the other hand, Simon, Jay and Neil are all wearing casual clothing. This could signify a divide between the group and encourage the audience to watch on because of any arguments that may occur.

5. The main target gender for this films is males because the four main protagonists are all boys. The age of the viewers will be teenagers as most of the issues in the film concern young adults and the main social class of viewers will be towards the bottom of the chart because the characters are ordinary people who are easily relatable.
