Fair use is basically rules that you have to follow in order for you to be able to use someone elses work wether its music, writing, etc.  Creative commons -is an alternative method for method for marking creative products and publications. - there are a lot of rules tha you have to follow in order to make sure that  whatever you are copy writing your doing it legally.
