1. To what extent new technologies are or are not a positive factor for society?
2. Definition of progress: - a mouvement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage.
3. Social Progress: Ethnic, racial or religious equality (Martin Lutter King Jr., Gandhi) ; Women's rights: obtaining the vote, the fight for equality.
4. Technological Progress: Transportation; Robots; Advances in communication networks; Internet.
5. Scientific Progress: Cloning; Designer babies; Genetically modified organisms; Medical advances (cure for illnesses).
