1. Walmart was cheaper. Walmart success doesn't just stem from impressive logistics there advantages was a different approach to the market. There always low prices for a high amount of items from food to prescriptions to electronics. Also avoiding big items like furniture or large appliances.

1.1. K Mart struggled how to appeal to people meaning that they refereed to themselves as a mass merchendise company that gives good products. Walmart customers know they save money and feel welcomed to the stores.

1.1.1. They did not adapt to change in the marketplaces meaning that K Mart had went bankrupt due to lots of bad management choices.

1.1.1.1. K Mart lost track of where it stood on the market place and that is what led to its bankruptcy unlike Walmart who adapted to market place changes and then were able to be how successful they are now.

1.1.1.1.1. The customer service at K Mart was not the best as you can see in the adverts of characters talking about layaway programs and in Walmart you can see the adverts of families saving money. As most of the time you would want to shop somewhere were you feel you welcomed to.
