Chapter 9 : Development of physical relations

1. Stage of unity

1.1. - If community compromise and cooperate as much as possible -> live united - But at this stage cooperation still external

2. Stage of integration

2.1. - Cooperation among races create a sense of belonging & strong ties between them - Relation not only based in interest but also a sense of responsibility, share same value

3. Stage of co-existence

3.1. - Races of different background have contact - Live in same area but rarely communicate - Contact limited to matters of necessity only eg: economy - Life of multi racial during British colonialist

4. Stage of frequent external contact

4.1. - Frequent contact occurs but still unable to establish an understanding - For survival eg in economy - Happen during British ruling till independence

5. Stage of compromise

5.1. - Become conscious of the common interest - Need to compromise in economy & politic - At the early independence era
