2. Rebuttal Position: Intellectual Development is the process of informing students and looking at issues.

2.1.1. Reply to rebuttal: Student just with knowledge does not make the world a better place.

2.1.2. Reply to rebuttal: There are well adjusted members of society, they are not necessarily taught to create any change.

3. Supporting Reason #1: Creating active and informed citizens.

3.1. Evidence: Students learn about ways that they can participate in society and the contributions that they can make.

4. Supporting Reason #2: Empower students to work towards a better society.

4.1. Evidence: They receive the tools, knowledge, and skills that will assist them in starting to create change for a better society.
