1. Supporting Reason #3: Teaching students to be critically minded.
1.1. Evidence: They will ask the hard questions.
1.1.1. The students will not believe everything just because their teacher or parents said it, even if it is written in their textbook. They will do their own reliable research.
1.2. Evidence : Teach students skepticism about history. Look at multiple perspectives for historical events.
1.2.1. Evidence: Many injustices happened as the railway was built, not many textbooks or stories talk about these. Teaching students to look for these
2. Rebuttal Position: Intellectual Development is the process of informing students and looking at issues.
2.1. Evidence:
2.1.1. Reply to rebuttal: Student just with knowledge does not make the world a better place.
2.1.2. Reply to rebuttal: There are well adjusted members of society, they are not necessarily taught to create any change.
