Research into music

1. 2) To recreate the calm piano music for the beginning of our trailer, we firstly needed to find out what note was used in the trailer for 'tell me how i die' (2016) we then recreated it by recording ourselves on the piano and then uploading it onto the computer to be added into our trailer.
2. 3) We then searched for music that would have multiple points of sudden change, as we believed that this is a common convention horror film trailers and by doing this it adds fear and suspense.
3. 4) For our titles that will come in between shots in our trailer, we wanted a change in music so we watched a variety of horror film trailers to see what type of music they used for this, we discovered that the sound effect used in the trailer for the film 'a cure for wellness' (2017) would suit our trailer best
4. 5) The music in horror movie trailers are extremely important. its imperative that the music matches what is going on in the trailer, especially in horror, the music needs to cause a reaction in the audience and set the tone for the film.
5. 1) As a group we decided to watch a number of horror film trailers to get inspiration for our soundtrack, from this research we discovered that many trailers start with a slow and quiet piano and as the trailer progresses the music becomes faster and louder. we especially saw this in the trailer for the film 'tell me how i die' (2016)
