1.3. A riot broke out, with many angry people who were against the idea of conscription stood in the streets. In the end conscription did happen and many were enlisted.

3.1. Wanted to limit (cut back) on the level of conscription (enlistments) made in Canada.

3.2. Prime Minister King promised to not conscript anyone into war

3.3. The Government did not impose the natural resources act until June 1940, which allowed the Government to register men and woman to work jobs that contributed to the war effort from the home front. No one was forced to work overseas.
