How was life different among the people of Singapore during WWII?

1. POWs
1.1. Forced into labour by Japanese
1.2. Lack of Medical treatments, proper food and nutrients
2. Malays
2.1. Started Malay Regiment and fought Japanese with 600 men
2.2. They were not found out, and were only punished if they didn't obey the Japanese
3. Indians
3.1. The Japanese were not as harsh on the Indians,compared to the Chinese spies ,but they had to obey the Japanese or be punished
4. Japanese
4.1. The Japanese in Singapore were wealthy and well-fed
4.2. They tortured enemy spies
4.3. Forced captured prisoners into labour
5. Chinese
5.1. Created groups to spy on Japanese
5.2. Many were executed, even innocent Chinese
5.3. Frequently rounded up for checks by the Japanese to make sure they weren't spies
