2.2.2.1.1. “Suddently from the opposite roof a shot rang out and the sniper dropped his rifle with a curse." This sniper (the free states) is really good at shot because he can hit the sniper's left arm from far away.

2.4.1.1.1. The writer want tell reader that the sound of the gun is really loud, but the another sniper couldn't hear from this kinds of far way. so this is a hyperbole.

2.4.2.1.1. It want say that war is for kill your enemy, but you killed your own brother in the end.
