1. Italian Revolution

1.1. Began in Siciliy when people started to demand a seperate governmemt

1.2. Many revolts occured and it drove out King Ferdinand II

1.3. Austrians in this region oppressed the Italians ever more with harsher taxes

2. Revolution of the Germans

2.1. initiated by members of the middle and nobility

2.1.1. demanded constiutions all and representative governemnts

2.2. also initiated by the working class

2.2.1. revolted againts captialsim and poverty

2.3. Growing nationalism among the Czechs,Hungarians,German and others led to rioting

2.4. In Prussia the king dissolved the assembly and gave his own constitution

2.4.1. Favored the wealthy but a gave Prussia a slight parliamentary governmet

3. Major issues that sparked the Revolution

3.1. considered France to be the point of origin

3.1.1. Poor harvests, disease,rise in food prices,unemployment, radicalisation of political attitudes

3.2. High food prices led to hunger and fataltities

3.3. Hope of social and political reform was encouraged by the election to the Papacy

4. French Revolution

4.1. poor weather led to poor agricultural production leading to rise in food prices

4.2. Elections had limited suffrage and many didnt feel like they could gain wealth

4.3. Liberal "banquet" was banned which led to many protests

4.4. Louis Bonaparte was elected President of the Second French Empire

4.5. Established the "right to work" principle

4.6. Created National Workshops for those who didnt have jobs
