3. The Indians still had rulers and they got to keep the title of being in charge and having someone to look up to. 1/3 of India was completely ruled by Indian princes.

4. The British built railways, gave efficient government, and made schools for elite Indian children.

5. Most of the troops for India were Indian and not British.

7. The British were in control of the Indian leaders, therefore being in control of 2/3 of India.

8. The British forced India to buy the products they made at inflated rates even though Indians could make those goods on their own

9. Indian economy suffered.
