1. Preservation of the building

1.1. Acquire City Landmark status

1.1.1. No- Rationale: from APS: The landmark status would make improvements to Monte Vista more restrictive, and perhaps make improvements out of reach for APS.

1.2. LEED certification for Monte Vista

1.2.1. Yes- less cost to sustain APS, plus commendations will help viability

1.2.2. New Building with LEED certification can provide multiple checks toward campus certification

1.2.2.1. New Building- Active laboratory playground/partial out door STEAM room- make it STEAMA room: Science, Technology, ELA Art, Mathematics, and Activity Room - or outdoor education? or...

2. Preservation of Monte Vista as a public school

2.1. Leith and the staff work to keep the school in excellent standing with APS and the State.

2.2. APS has shown commitment with the placing of the bond for February 2016, the community has supported it by voting yes.
