2.1. Ford Model A (1903–04) Flat-2 1668 cc (101.788 cu in) 8hp. The original Ford Model A is the first car produced by Ford, beginning production in 1903. Ernest Pfennig, a Chicago dentist, became the first owner of a Model A on July 23, 1903.
2.1.1. Related pony cars, such as the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, are generally smaller cars with roughly the same description otherwise. The general consensus is that the first muscle car of this definition was the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88.
2.1.2. Henry Ford made cars ubiquitous not long after founding his factory in 1903.
3. Classic car
3.1. Exactly who invented the automobile is a matter of opinion. If we had to give credit to one inventor, it would probably be Karl Benz from Germany. Many suggest that he created the first true automobile in 1885/1886.
3.1.1. Karl Benz founded the company that would one day be called Mercedes-Benz in 1883, and they sold their first automobile in 1886.
