This Program is intended to meet human resource certification requirements.Apply Human Resource theories and knowledge to effectively administer payroll, hiring, training, and benefits within a corporate or business environement. Students will be able to demonstrate how to lead change within organizations through innovative modern technological tools, while using modern theories and systems design to develop and monitor human resources policies and procedures.

3. Course Outcomes

3.1. Payroll and Benefits Management

3.1.1. This advanced curriculum provides students with the skills necessary to administer, and manage payroll within a corporate environment. Students will work with an innovative payroll calculator which will give a realistic expectation of what payroll within an organization looks like. Students will also learn how to hire, train and continually develop new hires for the payroll department.

3.2. Organizational Theory and Design

3.2.1. Students will discover progressive organizational theories blending contemporary organizational thoughts and ideas with reliable classic organizational theories and systems design. Students will be able to demonstrate adaptability to change in a highly competitive environment by designing and implementing an organizational plan.

3.3. Legal Issues and Regulations in Human Resources Management

3.3.1. This advanced study of Legal Issues and Regulations provides students with key legal information that may arise within the human resouces environment. Topics include FMLA, OSHA, ADA, and Affirmative Action. These topics will be reviewed, discussing the elements of diversity which play an important key role.

3.4. Corporate Training and Development

3.4.1. This coursework provides students with an extensive overview about how to effectively lead and develop new or continuing employees. Ethical Leadership, Motivational Leadership, Situational Leadership, and coaching for performance improvement will all be discussed throughout this eight week course. Students will demonstrate their skills through advanced case studies focused on providing realistic examples of corporate development.

3.5. Performance Management and Assessment

3.5.1. This curriculum will allow students to demonstrate thier ability to assess and produce higher performance. Students will review theories and models related to performance management and assessment. At the end of this course, students will be able to conduct a SWOT anaylsis.
