English 307 Course Goals

1. PROCESS: in this course it is important to adapt to a process of steps such as reading, drafting, reviewing, etc. in order to formulate successful work
2. INFO/LIT MANAGMENT: using technical design processes students must learn to collect, analyze, and interpret information and sources
3. MULTIMODAL COMMUNICATION: participate in projects including oral presentations and handout materials. Create, Critique, Analyze, & Evaluate.
4. COLLABORATIVE: work as a team with other classmates forming cross-cultural relationships during collaborative and social writing assignments by responding to a peers work with feedback or considering feedback from another peer
5. REFLECT/TRANSFER: reflect on your writing and build writing skills in order to become a better communicator within the business world
6. GENRE: use common formats/design used for job applications, reports, presentations, etc. in order to deconstruct genre conventions
7. RHETORIC: is one of the main focuses in this course because you must be able to form a strong argument on the given topic and present it in a manner that convinces the audience of it's importance
8. ETHICS: consider ethical responsibilities necessary in professional contexts, genres, and communication environments within the business world of writing
