3. Description: In general, the indefinite article a is used in front of a noun that begins with a consonant. The indefinite article an is used in front of a noun that begins with a vowel.
4. Rules
4.1. We use a / an with a name or noun to talk about a member of a class for example Lee is a chinese name Lee es un nombre Chino
4.2. We use a / an when we describe people or things for example: She is a doctor Ella es una doctora
4.3. We do not use a / an with nouns or nouns that are written in the plural or are uncountable, because a / an means "one". For example: My grand parents are teachers (not ... a teachers)
