1. One form is aspirated and requires an expulsion of air to pronounce it. It's like the letter J in Spanish

2. There are two unique indefinite articles in English (a, an) that function as the two Spanish forms

6. In English, as in Spanish, the indefinite article refers to an unspecified thing.
7. AN → is used with words beginning with vowel (a, e, i, or, u), h mute (not pronounced) or u short (pronounced as)

8. The non-aspirated form is mute and adds nothing to the pronunciation of the noun. Phonetically, it's like H does not exist.
8.1. an hour an honest man an honor an herb
