Menominee Model of Sustainable Development

1. Natural Environment
1.1. At one point the people needed on the natural environment to take care of themselves.
2. Institutions
2.1. I would say Tribal Housing falls into this category. People living in Housing are suppose to live to a certain expectation. Not always followed but there are rules in place.
3. Technology
3.1. I know Conservation are using new tactics to try to catch poachers. One example is the use of airplanes to catch "shiners". We have a beautiful forest that grow great deer. We need to protect them and them harvested with methods in the rule book.
4. Economics
4.1. This one I'm not too sure on. I think they need to take a page out of the Oneida's book on economics.
5. Human Perception, Activity and Behavior
5.1. How will/is the community handling all the changes in the rules? Conservation really has been adding good rules and thoughts to helping conserve wild ginseng.
6. Land and Sovereignty
6.1. I believe this gives Menominees a sense of Identity.
