4.1.4. • Combination of sulfadoxine and pyrimethamine (Fansidar)

4.1.5. • Mefloquine (Lariam)

4.1.6. • Combination of atovaquone and proguanil (Malarone)

4.1.7. • Doxycycline (Doryx, Vibramycin, others).

4.1.8. Artemisinin-derived medications: Another class of ant malarial drugs, often prescribed in Asia and now in other parts of the world, is derived from artemisinin, a sweet wormwood extract. Artesunate is an example of an artemisinin derivative.
