1. she required multiple surgeries although she had suffered no major brain damage.
2. Doctors were forced to begin operating after swelling developed in the left portion of her brain.
3. On October 2012, a panel of Pakistani and British doctors decided to move Malala to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology in Rawalpindi.
4. To receive further care, she was transferred to Birmingham, England.
5. In March 2013, she was able to begin attending school in Birmingham.
6. In recognition for her fight she was awarded with the 2014 Nobel peace prize being the youngest person ever to receive it.
7. After the shooting she was airlifted to a military hospital in Peshawar.
8. Taliban leaders unanimously agreed to kill her.
9. The taliban demanded to know which girl was Malala. When her friends looked toward her, her location was given away.
10. She was hit with one bullet, which went through her head, neck, and ended in her shoulder.
11. On 9 October 2012, a Taliban gunman shot Yousafzai as she rode home on a bus after taking an exam in Pakistan's Swat Valley.

13. Death threats against her were published in newspapers and slipped under her door.
14. Inspired by her father's cause she fought in favor of girl's right for education in her country.
