1. Week 1

1.1. Maths - Shapes

1.1.1. Alex/Marcus 2C (I can investigate which 3D shapes roll - I can investigate which 3D shapes slide - I can recognise shapes they cannot see but they can feel.)

1.1.2. Aylin/Vinnie 1A (I can name common 3D shapes - I can recognise common 2D shapes in objects - I can recognise common 3D shapes in shapes - I can recognise 2 and 3D shapes in different orientation and sizes.)

1.1.3. Holly/Joe 1B (I can find specific shapes when asked - I can use shapes to make patterns - I can find the number of faces on each 3D shape by counting )

1.2. Literacy (Introduce 2nd part of Lion King in preparation for the Musical on Wednesday) Children can role-play key scenes from the second half such as Timon and Pumba looking after Simba, Nala finding Simba, the return of Simba back to Pride Rock, the fights between the hyenas and the other animals, and the ending.

1.2.1. Thursday and Friday (non-fiction) reporting on how good the musical was.

1.3. Science (Introduction to Electricity)

1.3.1. Band 1 (I can list power sources in school/home.)

1.3.2. Band 2 (I can give examples of objects they use every day which are powered by electricity.)

1.4. ICT (I can create a simple safety poster warning the possible dangers of electricity in the home). (Cross-curricular from Science)

1.5. PE - Music - Integration?

1.6. D&T - to last 3 weeks

1.6.1. Step 1 : Investigating and evaluating existing Buzzer toys.

1.6.2. Step 2: Focused task for children to develop knowledge and skills of closed circuits.

1.6.3. Step 3: Designing (discuss the receiver and the purpose. ) - listing and collecting resources.

1.6.4. Step 4: Making the buzzer toy.

1.7. Cricket on Mondays until Week 3 (last session)
