1.2. II. The resume

1.2.1. The new word to propaganda in USA is “lobbying”. 1. Causes : The Lobbying’s causes are the setting up of laws. For example, lobbying is use to avoid the establishment of the obligation to introduce the sophisticated braking system for trains. 2. Consequences: The consequences of the lobbying are that it influences consumers’ choices. It’s unhealthy, like the genetically modified food which is hardly controversial. After thinking about the labeling of genetically modified products, the lobbyists have found a compromise that allows to see labels through a QR Code. This doesn't imply the lives of consumers. Lobbying controls the choice of consumers, which affects honesty and integrity in public life. 3. Problems: The problem is that lobbying influences and changes the Laws. Congress and Senators are bought by lobbyists. They force politicians to vote for or against a law because of donations. That shows politic is corrupted. For instance, the law against fire arms was corrupted like that. We can’t act against the lobbyists because it doesn’t exist a law to prevent lobbyists to corrupt politicians and to stop the manipulation. 4. Critics: Bernie Sanders campaigned on taking financial influence out of the US political system. He is against politician corruption. 5. Solutions: We must create a law so that it is illegal to influence the senators and congress in its decisions. Politicians should no longer be able to accept money from lobbyists and avoid donations. The law would allow the public not to be influenced in their choices. It should limit the messages that lobbyists make. Freedom of expression no longer should need to go so far.

1.3. III. Our reflection

1.3.1. The lobbying makes echo to the World War Two, with propaganda in different countries like Germany with Hitler and Russia with Staline. And after China with Mao Zedong and North Korea with Kim Jong Un. Hitler's propaganda under the Nazi regime represented happy children on posters. They posted them everywhere and played them on the radio. This wasn't the case, however. It is a parallel with lobbying that misleads advertising products to influence consumers.
