4. Remember that the feeling behind what you do or say is more important than what you do or say.
5. Teach and practice the 3 Rs of Recovery from Mistakes
6. Make sure the message of love and connection gets through.
7. Win children over instead of using your power to win over children.
8. Be sure that correction includes involving the child in focusing on solutions whenever possible
9. Involve children in brainstorming the chores that need to be done and a plan for doing them.
10. Avoid pampering so children can develop a belief in their own capabilities.
11. Teach and practice that mistakes are wonderful opportunities to learn.
