PURPOSE

There are a range of purposes for digital portfolios. What are some of the ways you are hoping to use them for your students?

Are you considering purchasing software, using Powerpoint (with or without a template) or using a web2.0 tool such as a blog or wiki? What aspects will influence your decision?

Where do you want the students to be able to access and work on their portfolios? Who should have access and how will this be controlled? Will it move from year to year and school to school?

What are your expectations of students? How will you convey and monitor these? How important is uniformity?

This is the one that scares me: what if a kid deletes his or someone else's portfolio? Is there a way of securing them with passwords or something?
