1. Old Major

1.1. An old wise boar who ignited the flame of the revolution.

2. Snowball

2.1. A vivacious pig, quicker in speech and more inventive, but was not considered to have the same depth of character compared to Napoleon.

3. Moses

3.1. The tame raven, he didn't really care about the other animals.

3.2. He also talks to other animals about the "Sugarcandy land", where animals go when they die.

4. Squealer

4.1. A small fat pig, with very round cheeks, twinkling eyes, nimble movements, and a shrill voice. A brilliant talker, it was said that he could turn black into white.

5. Napoleon

5.1. A large, rather fierce looking Berkshire boar, the only Berkshire on the farm, not much of a talker, but with a reputation for getting his own way.

6. Mr. Jones

6.1. The original owner of the farm, he barely takes care of his animals and he now drinks omre than he should. He's married too.

6.2. Has been complaining about his misfortune in a taproom to those who would listen to him.

7. Boxer

7.1. A strong and enourmous beast, stronger than 2 horses put together.

7.2. He has a white stripe down his nose that makes him look a stupid appeareance, he ain't the smartest either

7.2.1. He killed a human being in the Battle of Cowshed, and feels guilty about his actions even though, he is told that "war is war"

8. Clover

8.1. A motherly mare approaching middle life, has given birth 4 times; she hasn't gotten back her shape since because of it.

9. Mollie

9.1. A pretty mare who is a little self-centered, she likes to show herself off.

9.2. Likes sugar a lot and loves some ribbons she has on her mane.

10. Benjamin

10.1. The oldest animal on the farm, and the worst tempered. He is also a little cynical

11. Mr. Pilkington

11.1. An easy-going gentleman farmer who spent most of his time in fishing or hunting according to the season.

12.1. A tough, shrewd man, perpetually involved in lawsuits and with a name for driving hard bargains.
